Misleading, deceitful, and non cooperative I am very frustrated with Emastered. I thought I was signing up for a month of service, but instead it was a 12 mo contract that is paid every month. I contacted customer service, and they have refused to assist or work with me at all. They are manipulative and misleading.

Deceitful advertising practices. I purchased the $29 monthly plan only to find out when I wanted to cancel it that I will continues to be billed monthly as the terms and conditions applied to an annual commitment of $29x12. This website advertises being able to cancel anytime no hassle no questions asked, with no other indicators as to what that specifically applies to. When trying to resolve this with the company, they offered only about the terms and conditions. ********* was rude via online messenger from the site, and could only seem to repeat the terms and conditions. This is misleading and could cause a lot of people issues as to the fact, like the red light cameras, can you really prove who is at the wheel? If at time of purchase, anyone could of processed that payment using someones elses payment method, how then could a company implore such a devious contract amongst customers that when they want to cancel, they cant. This website should be shutdown.

Around May 2018, I ordered a monthly plan of $19 from them called Advanced Pro plan. They have other plans, one of which are for monthly and the other for annual. I knew I was not going to be needing this but only for the current month so I paid for the cheapest plan that was listed for months instead of the one for $29 a month.
Little did I notice the small print they added on part of their plans until now when I see it still charging on my bank account. They made it sound convincing that you'd get your money back if you don't like before 14 days but you have to look closely on their plans as it's all deceitful (esp. monthly plans).
Their so-called "Best Value" plan and the plan which costs lower than that called Advanced Plus are both in the monthly plan along with Professional. What gets me is the Professional plan states $29 billed monthly but for the rest, they trying to charge annually.
So what that means is that even though all those plans are monthly, they're being sly to continue charging customers even after which they try canceling and stating it's written under their terms as a 12 month "Contractual Subscription or commitment contract option."
Most consumers are not gonna be looking into that. Like me, if I have known this I would not have purchased it, but because of how unorganized their plans are and they way they have it small print, I couldn't tell the difference either way whether I saw it or not prior to making the purchase. And now even though I've canceled this it still states I'd had to pay the additional monthly charges an annual commitment.
I've recently tried contacting support about this already and the only I could get in contact was this guy called Smith who pretends he is sympathetic about what happened by saying he apologizes for the inconvenience, yet the first then he does is ask me "what makes me think to quit?" I already knew right then and there that it's gonna be another fight so I went ahead and already disputed this with my bank.
So I told him to answer my question first regarding if the charges will stop appearing on this *** commitment they had fine-printed. A day later he replies, " Hi there,
Sorry to hear that you’re unsatisfied with your recent purchase. You purchased an Advanced Pro payment option, which split your annual payment of $220 into 12 monthly payments of $19 each. This is outlined clearly on our pricing page for the plan itself, as well as our terms of service on our website:
Please be guided with our Terms of Service https://emastered.com/terms
Multi-Month and Annual Contract, Automatic Renewals
eMastered offers a commitment contract option, which is paid monthly for twelve-month cycles ("Contractual Subscription"). Currently, these plans are called the Advanced Pro and Advanced Plus plans ("Advanced Plans"). A customer who purchases an Advanced Pro or Advanced Plus Plan is billed every 30 days for twelve full months ("Contract Term").
At the end of the Contract Term, Advanced Plans will renew automatically, and the payment method on file will automatically be re-charged with the same Contractual Subscription the customer initially purchased. This can only be avoided if the customer requests not to auto-renew, or cancels their Contractual Subscription before the contract is set to renew via their account settings within eMastered's website.
Advanced Plans are non-refundable, and by purchasing an Advanced Plan the customer agrees to the Contractual Subscription and Contract Terms outlined in our pricing page.
If a customer attempts to violate the terms of Contractual Subscriptions, such as disputing the recurring charges / issuing a chargeback with their bank or payments provider or other method, or even avoiding previously agreed upon payments for their Contractual Subscription, the customer will be responsible for all charges and fees incurred in resolving the unpaid debt amounts.
Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with!"

So now the real truth is out. Not only was I gonna get charged back to back monthly as an annual commitment, but then it was gonna auto-renew itself unless I canceled before the next contract begins. How bogus is that?!
I've already gone ahead to get issued a new card. I dare Smith to challenge me if he ever tries making me pay an unpaid debt. So I told him to go ahead and do whatever he has to do even deleting my account. But I know one thing, I know what I originally paid for and the customer is always right but since he doesn't want to do right by handling this in the right manner on how it should've now the truth is out there. AVOID THIS SCAM AT ALL COSTS!!! There are better services out there that give you audio remastering for free.
